Ike Nicholas Souzer, 18, was arrested on Sunday. He had been missing since Wednesday and was last seen at a house in Santa Ana, where he was allegedly wearing an electronic screen, according to officials. Suzer was in jail for killing his mother and was recently convicted of assaulting prison staff. The details of his arrest were not immediately known. Suzer was convicted of manslaughter for the murder of his mother in 2017, when he was 13 years old. While in custody, he was convicted in December 2021 of assaulting three prison officials, according to prosecutors. Suzer was ordered to wear an electronic monitor for the remainder of his sentence until July 9, 2023, and was released from a Santa Ana home, prosecutors said. While on trial in the juvenile court for the murder of his 47-year-old mother, Barbara Scheuer-Souzer, he escaped from the juvenile room in Orange shortly after midnight on April 12, 2019 and was arrested the next day at a McDonald’s restaurant. in Anaheim.
