The shooting occurred near the intersection of Maple Street and 10 Ave. There was a heavy police presence in Okanagan Falls Saturday night after a shooting was reported in the small community. Several local residents say Castanet was shot near the corner of Maple Street and 10th Ave around 10pm Saturday night. It’s unclear if anyone was injured in the shooting, but police quickly swarmed the area. One resident says officers blocked off Eastside Road sometime Saturday night and were not letting vehicles travel south to Okanagan Falls. Castanet has reached out to the RCMP for more information about the shooting, as it is not known at this time if the RCMP have made any arrests. “Everybody’s wondering what’s going on, I don’t know if they got somebody or what,” said one resident in Castanet. “Nobody knows if we have a maniac running around.”
