Easter is a time when the rabbits, eggs and blood of Christ come together for a very confusing celebration. But what people love most about this day is candy. Move over Michael Myers, your Easter bunny has managed to win! And while we all agree that the REAL holiday is Cheap Ass Easter Candy Monday (when all the Easter sweets are done), we, as a people, can not decide WHICH candy is the best in the company. Instacart conducted a survey to crown the winner and the results are … interesting. Now I would like to preface the results of this research with a friendly tip: do not start arguing about whether a cream egg is better or not than a mini egg. Let’s keep this debate civil. Finally we are not on Twitter! Either way, Instacart asked more than 2,000 people for their thoughts on Easter candies and provided an easy-to-use ranking system to disagree with! via Fox59: According to a recent Instacart survey of more than 2,000 Americans, more than half of those polled (65%) say Easter has the best seasonal sweets. But which delicacies are the best of the best? Instacart has made the list of America’s favorite Easter candies in the top ten and chocolate delicacies are disappearing with the most points. Number one on the list is the pleasure that will forever be associated with Easter: the Cadbury Creme Egg. Here are the Reese peanut butter eggs, which some people swear are better than a regular Reese cup. Starburst Easter Jelly Beans were the most popular non-chocolate selection at No. 3, followed by Brach’s Jelly Bird Eggs at No. 8 and PEEPS Yellow Marshmallow Chicks at No. 9. PEEPS! How did PEEPS get the short end of the stick here ?! It’s essentially Easter. Why do we refuse to collectively enjoy a marshmallow painted in yellow and pink neon! But the US decided it’s really a battle between Cadbury Creme Egg and Reese Peanut Butter Egg. Instacart also created a map of the United States that describes what candy not every state can experience. This is where you will discover the horrific states that put jelly beans on top (I’m looking at you FLORIDA !!!). The only thing that can clear the palate is if Mariah Carey makes another Easter post where she resolves the conversation by wearing her sexiest Easter bunny. It is the only way to heal the great gap of this nation!
