Ottawa police responded to a call at a home on 800 block of Smyth Road near Haig Drive at about 3 a.m. Friday. Police say the elderly man was found dead in the home. One person is in custody. A police cruiser was parked outside a house on Smyth Street shortly before 9 a.m. Friday. No other information has been provided.
