At least two people have been killed and many more are being treated in Pittsburgh for gunshot wounds following reports of multiple gunshots to Airbnb on the southeast side of the city, police said. “There have been a number of shootings in East Allegheny with many shooting victims,” Pittsburgh Public Security said in a statement, calling the situation “a very active scene.” Moments later, Public Safety reported that at least 11 victims had been taken to a local hospital, where two victims were found dead. Several others were injured as a result of the escape from what is believed to be a sniper who fired 50 rounds inside and outside the house. The victims include at least two underage boys, who arrived at the hospital in critical condition, police said. They died of their injuries, the WTAE reported. Another victim was in stable condition, police added.
