Roger Waters started a heated debate with a CNN anchor about who is really to blame for the war in Ukraine — saying it’s actually the US and NATO that are fueling the ongoing conflict. The Pink Floyd rocker sat down with Michael Smerconish on his show over the weekend, and they also touched on Ukraine and China … with RW taking the position that not all is as it seems when it comes to who’s to blame for the fighting that last so long. Watch… he says that we, the states, are partly to blame for continuing this by not pushing Zelensky to make a ceasefire deal with Putin — but instead by continuing to fund/supply their (Ukraine’s) military efforts , this is). Smerconish counters this by pointing out that Roger here seems to be pointing the finger at the invaded country — but even there, Roger doubles down … and says that this thing has been going on for a lot longer than a mere year, arguing that NATO has fanned the flames. When confronted with the idea that America has an obligation to step in and be “liberators” … Roger kind of loses it, saying that they have no place in the world — even disputing that they weren’t going to get involved in WWII War until Pearl Harbor was attacked. One last thing…they also talk about Taiwan, and Roger once again takes a counter view that the nation does, in fact, belong to the People’s Republic, despite what the US believes. Wow, this is amazing! Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters on CNN:[China] it doesn’t surround Taiwan, Taiwan is part of China! And this has been fully accepted by the entire international community since 1948. pic.twitter.com/AlSWd57ex4 — Antommic Bowe (@atommicbowe) August 7, 2022 @atommicbowe Sounds very pro-China / pro-Russia … at least that seems to be the consensus on Twitter, and the dude gets a lot of drag for it. Roger, however, seems to have his mindset.
