The incident is said to have taken place on Tuesday afternoon during a flight operated by Buzz – a Ryanair subsidiary – from Ukraine via Poland to Dublin. Irish Senator Timmy Dooley, who was returning home from the war-torn country, said the culprit was part of a group of four men who were all drunk. And everyone kept trying to sit in empty seats next to women, reports the Irish Mirror. Fianna Fail, a 53-year-old politician, said the men’s behavior, which also included “very sexual language”, made the trip “uncomfortable”. The situation became “intense” as two other passengers then entered to “intervene and crush” the perpetrator, Mr. Dooley explained. He added: “There were women crying and women with children who might have left the war in Ukraine.” He has now called for any such disturbing passengers to be added to the watch list and to face a lifetime ban. He added that they were later released, but “investigations are ongoing”. Mr Dooley, who was traveling with Fianna Fail MEP Billy Kelleher and a cameraman, said the cabin crew had asked politicians to help calm the situation on board. He then praised the flight attendant and staff for their “professionalism” in handling the situation “given the level of activity”. “The flight attendant was very discreet when they asked for help and we were asked to go and sit next to the men to talk to them and try to calm them down. “I have to commend the Ryanair staff who were truly professional and clearly trained to the highest level in dealing with these difficult situations.” A Ryanair spokesman said: “The crew of this flight from Krakow to Dublin asked Garda for help on arrival, as three passengers disrupted the flight. “The aircraft landed normally and the Gardai removed these passengers before the other passengers could safely disembark the aircraft.”
