The woman was pushing her child in a stroller on Heysham Road in Lancashire when she stopped to get some money from a cash register. Mom reached under the stroller and when she looked up, terrified, a man was holding her 20-month-old daughter. Read more related articles She screamed and immediately took her child back, while the man left the stage running through an alley behind a Tesco Express on Heysham Road. The baby was not injured and no arrests have been made. Police were called around 6.30 p.m. on Wednesday (April 13) on Heysham Road, near the Tesco Express. Officers have conducted numerous CCTV and investigations and are now appealing to the public for information. Det Insp Andy Ellis, of Lancaster CID, said: “This is clearly a very worrying incident and we want to identify the man involved as soon as possible. “Fortunately, both the mother and the daughter were not injured. “It seems that at this stage the man has just kept the child, as opposed to trying something more serious, however, this is clearly worrying. “If you saw what happened or someone acting suspiciously in the area at the time of the incident, please show up immediately.” If you can help, call 101 or email [email protected] with registration number 1141 of April 13th.
