Officers patrolling spotted two men on Bishport Avenue in Hartcliffe at about 10:50 a.m. Sunday, saying they had been injured by two dogs. The two men, who were injured, went to the hospital for treatment, while police officers, including armed officers, searched the area to try to find the dogs. However, the dogs have not been found yet. Avon and Somerset police described the two dogs as “large, aggressive dogs roaming free” and said they should not approach them if found. One is light brown with spots and is injured, while the other is dark brown. “Police are currently dealing with an incident with two aggressive dogs. As a precaution, we advise unaccompanied children to avoid the area at this time,” police said in a statement. “At this time we would like to reassure the public that we have not received any other reports of injuries related to these two dogs.” They later added: “We are grateful for the patience of the public while dealing with a dog incident in Hartcliffe. “Two men were injured by dogs and have been taken to hospital. Investigations are ongoing to identify the dog owners.” Anyone with information is kindly requested to call 101 and give the reference number 5222090677.
