According to a press release, the victim is 18-year-old Simon Joseph Morrison from Halifax. The death was ruled a homicide following an autopsy performed by the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner’s Office. Police say they received a gun call at 1:37 p.m. on Saturday for the 2400 square of the street. They found Morrison on arrival. His death was confirmed at the scene. Police do not believe this is an accident, according to the press release. It is the third deadly shooting in Halifax in the last month. Treyvhon Alrick Bradshaw, 25, was killed on Gottingen Street on March 18, while Keezondre Kentrez Smith, 20, died eight days later after being shot in Hollis Street.
