In a press release, Toronto police said police were called to Harbor Street and York Street on Wednesday shortly after 5 p.m. Police said a man was found dead inside his home. Police have identified the man as 31-year-old Daniel Hoffman from Toronto.

When they gained access to the apartment, the family member found the victim with obvious signs of trauma and called 911, the source said. The story goes on under the ad Police are now asking anyone who had contact with Hoffman on April 12 or 13 to contact investigators. Hoffman is from Windsor and has lived in Toronto for about a year, the source confirmed. A police source said Hoffman was not known to police.
