Police say Horizon’s Saul Miguel Gutierrez was driving a Corvette that lost control and crashed into the center of the center. According to investigators, Chaparral’s Kayla Nunez was driving a Tahoe that hit the back of a Pontiac Vibe. The collision of this collision caused the Pontiac Vibe to lose control, hit a concrete dam and be engulfed in flames. Police say both drivers were driving more than 110 miles per hour at the time of the collision. On Monday, ABC-7 spoke to a woman who said it was her brother who died in that accident. Yvonne Delgado recognized the driver as Raymond Barron. Police say the identity of the victim is still pending. Delgado said the body had been burned so badly that it could not be identified. Police say a 23-year-old passenger was in the Corvette. He was identified as Javier Letsuga of El Paso. Police say a 16-year-old passenger was in Tahoe. The identity of the passenger was not disclosed. Gutierrez and Nunez remain in prison. Both face two charges: manslaughter and fatal accident. Their bonds total $ 1.6 million each.
