The Duke and Duchess of Sussex reunited with the monarch a few days before her 96th birthday. They made a pit stop in the UK while heading to The Hague for the Invictus Games, their Page Six spokesman confirmed on Thursday. The 95-year-old queen met them at her home in Windsor Castle, next to Harry’s father, Prince Charles. The couple flew to London’s Heathrow Airport from their home in California, TMZ first reported. They left their two young children, Archie, 2, and 10-month-old Lilibet – whom the queen has never met in person – at home. It has been two years since Prince Harry and Megan Markle last saw Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth — until now. Their visit to the United Kingdom took place despite Harry’s security dispute with the British government, as he says his wife and children are not safe in his homeland. During this televised meeting, they made allegations, including racist comments about the skin color of their future children. Harry’s relationship with his 73-year-old dad also reportedly suffered after he said he felt that both he and his brother, Prince William, were “trapped” in their royal roles. The couple reportedly stayed at their old Frogmore Cottage, in Windsor Castle. Getty Images The queen – who recovered from COVID-19 last month – will celebrate her 96th birthday on April 21. Its Platinum Jubilee will be celebrated in June. She suffered from mobility problems but arrived at a memorial service for her late husband, Prince Philip, in London last month – in which Harry and Markle came under fire for not attending. The palace announced this week that the queen will not be attending Easter Sunday services at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.
