Prince Harry and Megan Markle prepare for the Invictus Games in the Netherlands. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who have not been invited by the Dutch royals, are ridiculed for snobbing them for leaving behind a superior royal status. The label comes amid news that the couple will not say at the Dutch Palace. Speaking to Sunrise Australia, journalist Angela Mollard said: “They do not live in a Dutch palace and that is quite unusual. “When kings go to one of the houses of European royalty, they usually stay in them.” He compared their visit to Australia when the couple lived in the “Governor General’s House” and described the recent treatment by the Dutch as a “symbol”. Ms Mollard said: “This trip will be very interesting, because of course it is a few weeks after Harry did not attend the memorial service for Prince Philip.” He concluded: “A lot of attention will be on him and I hope this attention does not go through those soldiers and armed forces personnel for whom the Invictus Games are such an important event.” Harry and Megan, however, expanded an olive branch on Thursday when the couple paid a secret visit to the queen after two years in office as senior members of the royal family.
