According The Daily Star, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were spotted with a total of five security guards after it was reported that they would be granted “VVIP” status by Dutch police. Despite the VVIP status, Harry and Megan were not allowed to carry firearms by their guards, so their security personnel appeared unarmed as they accompanied the couple to the event. The report also said that Prince Harry and Megan “were being guarded by a high-level multi-service plan” for their trip. The couple’s visit to the Netherlands comes as Prince Harry is embroiled in a legal dispute with the UK Home Office after being stripped of his armed security service following his departure from the royal family.
