The Surete du Quebec reported that a distress call at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday in Lac-Theodore north of Morin-Heights reported a man went into the water to retrieve some personal items but never surfaced. The local fire brigade launched an investigation and called in SQ divers, who joined the search in a police boat. SQ spokesman Alex Decelles confirmed on Monday morning that the man was found dead at around 8.30am.
