[to] my.” Since the invasion began, Antonov has also found himself increasingly isolated in Washington. “I do not think anyone really believes that he is a proxy for Moscow,” Gavin Wilde, a former member of the National Security Council, told Politico. In the interview, Antonov conscientiously followed the Kremlin discussion points, calling the invasion a “special military operation,” parroting Nazi concerns in Ukraine and denouncing “Russophobia.” He also said that he believes that Ukraine “has the right to be [a] sovereign country “but that” does not know what will happen in the future “.
