The manufacturer will hold its next Unpacked event on August 10 at 2pm UK time. The focus of the event will be Samsung’s next generation of foldable phones, which will include the follow-up to last year’s Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3. Samsung’s new video expands on the teaser footage released at the Unpacked event announcement a few weeks ago. It’s only 40 seconds long, but it has all the dramatic music and vaguely ambitious taglines you could want from a teaser trailer for a new smartphone product. “Some things are bigger than others,” he declares as we see a pair of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Fold 4 corner phone screens that glow in the dark. “New ways to work and play” is shown as the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is shot with an angle and lighting that makes it look a bit like an open laptop. The ‘New Ways to Capture Life’ and cameras make us hope that Samsung has addressed the significant shortfall in last year’s otherwise excellent foldable range. “New experiences that will change our behavior forever” sounds vaguely scary, while “Flex is greater than flat” threatens civil war with its own Galaxy S line. “Get ready to live better” on August 10.
