The Easter Bunny, played by Bowen Yang, opened the episode of the comic strip show on Saturday, calling himself “the most horrible” character in the holiday. “A human-sized bunny with no history – who is it?” asks Yang’s bunny. He also told the public that he “invited people from all walks of life to share their hopes for this Easter season.” One of his guests was Trump, played by James Austin Johnson. Johnson’s Trump, wearing a Russian-flag brooch on his lapel, spoke briefly about Reese’s eggs, Cap’n Crunch and berries, before stressing that he was in good health. “Some people say I’m not healthy, okay. I’m very good in my health, I’m doing great with my health, okay. “Horse-healthy, like the Seabiscuit – I see a cookie and I eat a cookie,” said Trump’s Johnson. The fictitious former president later recalled the time he led the country during the COVID-19 pandemic, telling the public that when he said he wanted the pandemic to end by Easter, he did not specify which year. Trump said in March 2020 that he believed the churches would be “full” by Easter Sunday. “I would love to be a bunny, I would be so good with the bunny. Because I told America COVID would be over by Easter. “I just did not say who, okay, I did not say who it would be,” Trump told Johnson on SNL. Fauci, played by Kate McKinnon, also made an appearance with the Easter Bunny at Saturday’s cold open. The fictitious infectious disease doctor said he would not give more instructions for COVID-19 because no one would listen to them. “Believe me, I’m not here to give you more instructions on COVID. “I’m not stupid enough to think you’re really going to follow it,” said McKinnon’s Fauci. “All I can say is that COVID cases are very similar to Jesus – they have been resurrected,” he added. The Easter Bunny also welcomed Greene on stage, played by Cecily Strong. Strong Greene was holding an AR-15 chocolate when she offered her Easter wishes. “Do not worry, this rifle is chocolate – but the bullets are real,” said Strong Green. He wished the public a Happy Easter before “God Bless Russia” slipped. “Happy Easter and God bless Russia – I mean, America. But both, right? ” Strong’s Greene added.
