Emergency services were called to the cafe on London Road around 5.50pm on Saturday afternoon after reports that an 18-year-old had been “attacked”. The man was taken to Royal Liverpool Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Today the Monument Place was sealed by the police as medical examiners were working inside the Mobiles Junction & Internet Cafe. ECHO saw a medical examiner show photos from the scene to a detective.

The next thing the police showed up. That’s all I know.” Other locals looked puzzled by the incident in broad daylight. A large police presence was last night at the Royal Hospital. Police have confirmed that this is linked to the fact that the victim was taken there.
