Several items have been stolen from Lake Mackie’s house. Several historical artifacts have been stolen from the Mackie Lake home in Coldstream. “We are sorry to announce that Mackie Lake House was breached on Saturday night. “Several items were stolen and we are now working to recover them,” said a post on Mackie Lake House’s Facebook page. People are encouraged to track stolen items in the Facebook Marketplace, online auctions or pawnshops. Stolen items include:

a bronze samovar (shrine), a work of the Mackie family over 120 years old a silver tea service 3 porcelain dishes

About a week ago, two herbivores and a leaf blower were also stolen from the Mackie House garage.

Mackie Lake House is a charitable non-profit organization and the house is full of objects and archival documents related to the Mackie family and the late 19th and early 20th centuries in both Great Britain and Canada. Anyone with theft information should call the RCMP.
