We reported earlier on Friday that a concerned member of the public had found what appeared to be a skull in Motherwell. 

The police officers ran to the city Bellshill Street of Friday April 15, around 5.30 am Concerned locals say police remained in the area for several hours as they investigated the horrific find to determine if the skull may have been “fake” or “a missing piece of souvenir”. However, after an investigation, Scottish police told Record today that the skull was indeed human remains.
