Snow at the end of the season could affect some weekend travelers inland BC. Environment Canada has issued special weather statements for the Rogers Pass on the Trans-Canada Highway, as well as the Kootenay Pass and the Paulson Summit on Highway 3. Light snow is forecast to start late Monday afternoon and decrease on Tuesday afternoon for the Kootenay Pass and late Monday night for the Rogers Pass. In some areas it is possible up to 15 cm. Snowfall could hit properly as some people return to BC. from Easter road trips to visit family and friends in other provinces. Anyone returning to Highway 1 should also be aware that the Kicking Horse Canyon is set to close again on Tuesday at noon after the construction closes for the big weekend. If you miss the deadline, you will have to take the longest route along highways 95 and 93.
