Environment Canada issued a winter travel guide Monday for much of southern Ontario.
The greater Toronto area is expected to receive between four and eight inches of snow, which began to fall on Monday afternoon and will last until Tuesday.
Hamilton, Guelph, Kitchener, London, Blue Mountains, Owen Sound, Sarnia and Hanover could see three inches of snow per hour at the peak of the storm, Environment Canada said.
“Visibility may drop suddenly at times in heavy snowfall,” Environment Canada said Monday. “Be prepared to adapt your driving to changing road conditions.”
