Mounties say it happened around 3:00 p.m. on Friday when officers were called to a home on Whitby Crescent. They found a 69-year-old man dead and quickly determined the cause of death to be homicide. A 34-year-old woman was at home when police arrived. He was arrested for the homicide and remains in custody. Investigators say the suspect and victim knew each other. Major Crime Services has taken over the investigation, but no charges have yet been laid.
