The bear, which appeared to be a black teddy bear, was photographed leaning against the back sliding door of a home in Sagewood. At 1:10 p.m., Airdrie RCMP were notified and Alberta Fish and Wildlife were notified. RCMP also asked residents to stay inside their homes. Shortly after 4 p.m., police issued an update saying Fish and Wildlife officers located the bear and were tranquilizing it. The bear is reportedly safe and sound. Fish and Wildlife will move it to a safe place.
