Summerland RCMP were called to the scene on Garnet Valley Road Saturday morning after the Summerland Fire Department discovered the bodies after extinguishing the vehicle fire. The investigation was undertaken by the Major Crime Unit of the Southeast Region. The SED MCU is working with the Summerland Detachment, Penticton Regional Detachment and the BC Coroner’s Office to determine what led to the deaths. No details about the victims or the vehicle have been released. Police are asking anyone with dash cam footage or who may have observed any suspicious activity in the area of Garnet Valley Road early Saturday morning to contact them.
