This part of the world is the main reservoir area. The Battle of Kursk in southwestern Russia involved some two million soldiers and 6,000 tanks in 1943, the largest tank battle in history. What is seen in Donbas is not on this scale. However, 75 years later, the tanks and how well the Russians are using them will determine the course of the battle: the tank will fight the tank in a violent industrial-scale conflict.
