However, sadly a teenage boy was pronounced dead at the scene.” A spokesman for Kent Police said: “No suspicious circumstances have been reported and the Health and Safety Executive has been informed.” A witness told the PA news agency that he had seen “three ambulances, some fire engines and some police vehicles along Pencester Street, which was blocked off. They said there had been a fatal accident and the entrance to the exhibition had been blocked off with tape.” A spokesman for Forrest Amusements declined to comment, but said the company would issue a statement later. Its website says it was founded in 1889 and is the largest supplier of tourist attractions in the county.
