Some like to sit on the couch with friends and laugh their way through big ladder match/Hell In A Cell/backstage brawls. Others enjoy going through the MyCareer mode after creating their own WWE hopeful. Then there are those who barely play a match – they’re much more interested in contributing to the Community Creations tab. Pleasing all these teachers was a challenge for 2K Games, but they somehow managed to put a lot of smiles on faces with WWE 2K22. This game reinvigorated a streak that, to be honest, looked like it was about to fizzle out, and the future looks bright. Their next challenge will be to improve things in time for the release of 2K23 early next year. However, this time there is no gap of nearly two years to get things right. No, 2K23 will arrive just 12 months after its predecessor, and that means the pressure is on for these developers. Fortunately, they can view this article as a handy starter guide to all the most anticipated changes players want to see from a franchise that just launched in 2.9… First things first: the WWE locker room. This is changing very, and that must make it hard for 2K to keep things up to date. The bad news? They will have to find a way, because what happened in 2K22 was simply not acceptable. The game had a lot of discus workers who weren’t even with the company anymore. Braun Strowman, Keith Lee, Lana, Toni Storm – the list goes on and on. At times, it almost looked like 2K were presenting ‘WWE X AEW: The Video Game’ here. It was really out of control. Few are complaining now, because having more wrestlers playing isn’t a bad thing, but it doesn’t reflect the real WWE at all. This is slightly annoying and is something most people would like to see changed in the next game. Obviously, creating character models takes time, but the 2K developers have to find some way to ensure that 2K23 is as up-to-date as it can be.
