The Royal St. John’s Regatta is a Go for today. With temperatures in the low 20s and no wind to speak of, it’s a perfect day on the lake for rowers in the 204th Platinum Jubilee leg of the event. The exhibition race which will see the women row the long course for the first time is set for 10.50am League action begins with the senior women’s match at 6.30pm followed by the men’s match at 7pm. Hyflodraulic are the defending senior women’s champions, while NTV will look to retain the men’s trophy. Each is the number one seed today based on the July timings. Course captain and vice president, Ashley Peach, reminds everyone lakeside to be aware of the hot weather and come prepared.
