The Huracan Tecnica arrives in India just five months after its global unveiling, a remarkable achievement for such a premium supercar. In fact, Lamborghini confirms that customer orders have already arrived. The automaker has been on a success spree in recent years in India, having recently delivered the 200th unit of the Urus. Sharad Agarwal, head of Lamborghini India, says, “The Urus has led sales for the company’s super-sports cars, which could explain the immediate interest in the Tecnica.” The mechanical underpinnings are the same as the STO — a naturally aspirated 640-hp, 5.2-liter V10 engine that sends power to the rear wheels only through a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. However, it eschews the wild aero package and weight-saving regime of the more hardcore STO. Instead, the Huracan Tecnica takes its design inspiration from the Sian hybrid supercar, which in turn is based on the Aventador. The front and rear have similar angular bodywork to the Sian. there’s a more prominent rear diffuser compared to the Evo, and it also features a fixed rear spoiler. Rear-wheel steering and carbon-ceramic brakes are standard, with a carbon-fiber hood. In terms of sheer performance, 0-100 km/h is achieved in 3.2 seconds, 200 km/h comes in 9.1 seconds and top speed is 325 km/h. As a direct rival to the Porsche 911 GT3, Lamborghini says driver involvement is the most important element in the Tecnica’s character, with genuinely approachable on-the-ground handling the priority. In terms of price, the Huracan Tecnica will slot below the Huracan STO which was launched in India at ₹ 4.99 crore (ex-showroom) earlier this year.
