We find out at 6:00 tomorrow morning if the Royal St. John’s Regatta. Captain of the Course and vice chair of the committee, Ashley Peach, will announce their decision in the Winner’s Circle outside the Boathouse. VOCM will be streaming it live. The action begins at the Come Home Year Regatta today with the Regatta’s Eve festivities beginning at 5 p.m. with the School of Rock House Band at the bandstand on the north shore of Quidi Vidi Lake. The fun continues at this location until 7:30pm when the party moves to the Quidi Vidi Brewery beer tent with Rube and Rake followed by Old Contemporaries. Metrobus will provide a shuttle service between the Confederation Building and King’s Bridge Road from 5-9.30pm as some roads around the lake close at 5am. The big question is whether the games will take place tomorrow. Meteorologist Tiffany Cheeks says Thursday will be the better of the two days. On Wednesday the weather will be cloudy with light rains and winds of 20 to 30 km/h. Thursday’s forecast calls for sunshine, a high of 24 and light winds.
