Robbers in New York stole a large amount of high-end jewelry in a heist caught on video. The robbery happened at Rocco’s Jewelry in the Bronx on Friday around 2:30 p.m. The business estimates they lost $2.15 million worth of merchandise in the robbery. The jewelry store, located in the Fordham Heights section of the Bronx and a short walk from Fordham University, was closed Saturday while police investigated the scene. One suspect approached Rocco’s Jewelry before opening the door for the rest of the thieves. One of the thieves is seen using a hammer to smash glass cases as the others stuff fistfuls of jewelery into bags. Police have released images and descriptions of the suspects to gather more information. Surveillance video shows the four suspects running away shortly after the robbery.
