Police were called to the Harbor and York streets shortly after 5 a.m. Wednesday. When police arrived at the scene, police said they located a dead body inside his residence.
He was identified by police as Daniel Hoffman, 31, of Toronto. He is the 21st victim of homicide in the city this year.
The cause of his death was not known by the police.
In a press release issued Friday, investigators said three suspects were arrested in connection with the Niagara Regional Police.
Adriana Desario, 20, of Oakville, Niki Kirimi, 18, of Toronto, and Dawson Aguilera Jimenez, 22, of Toronto, have been charged with second-degree murder.
They appeared in a Toronto courtroom earlier today.
Police are concerned that other criminal investigations into the suspects may be being carried out under different names.
