The former president, 76, and the TV star who recently insisted he would never run for president were all smiles as they joined Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green to watch the action unfold at Trump National Golf Club.
LIV arrived at Trump’s club on July 29, sparking controversy from some 9/11 victims who say the Saudi-backed tournament should not be welcome on US shores.
The former president sparked outrage by saying there was no evidence Saudi Arabia was linked to the September 2001 atrocity in New York – which is just 40 miles from Bedminster – Washington and Pennsylvania.
Sunday is the final day of the tournament in Bedminster. It will now move to The International Golf Club near Boston, before finishing at Rich Harvest Farms in Illinois on September 18.
It’s unclear which jokes the group found funny — though they may have been discussing Trump’s latest rant at Biden, which saw him suggest the president’s rapid re-infection from COVID was actually dementia.
Speaking to Twitter rival TruthSocial on Sunday, Trump joked: “Joe Biden’s second bout of Covid, sometimes referred to as the China virus, was unfortunately misdiagnosed by his doctors.
Instead, he has dementia, but thankfully is recovering well.
“Joe is considering moving, part-time, to one of those beautiful nursing homes in Wisconsin where almost 100% of the residents miraculously, and for the first time in history, had the strength and energy to vote — even if those votes had been cast illegally.’
Trump, who continued to tease a possible 2024 run, concluded: “Get well soon Joe!”
Presidential hopefuls Donald Trump and Tucker Carlson were seen getting hot at the former Saudi Arabia-backed head of state’s golf outing in New Jersey on Sunday — just two weeks after the influential Fox star shot down rumors of a candidate course in 2024
Flanked by prominent conservatives including Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green and Donald Trump Jr., the power couple appeared to share a joke at the star-studded event in New Jersey, held at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster.
The exchange took place on Sunday, the third day of the Saudi-backed tournament, which it has agreed to host at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster for an undisclosed sum. Trump is currently leading the GOP candidates for the upcoming presidency
“I have zero ambition, not only politically, but in life,” Carlson assured viewers on July 15, in an interview with former New York Times columnist Ben Smith.
“I aspire to write my script by 8 p.m. It wasn’t on paper.
“I don’t want power, I never wanted power,” Carlson told Smith, adding, “I’m bothered by things, I want them to change — but I’ve never been motivated by a desire to control people. ‘
When further questioned by the reporter about his chances of running in 2024 after rumors circulated online, Carlson laughed off the inquiry, flatly telling Smith that he was “not running” and that he was a “talk show host.”
“I’m not running,” Carlson said, offering the former Times writer his autograph. “I’m a talk show host. I enjoy my work.’

THREE ONE CROWD: Carlson, Trump and Don Trump Jr. participate in the festivities on Sunday during the event. Carlson has long been rumored to possibly replace Trump in the Oval Office in 2024
Carlson’s appearance on LIV came after persistent rumors that the Fox News host would abandon his lucrative television career for a foray into politics — an assumption further fueled by a recent public appearance by Carlson on July 15 in Iowa.
The appearance saw Carlson address a crowd of 1,800 Christian conservatives at the Des Moines capital for the Family Summit – and suggest he will seek the White House, despite the hopes of several conservatives unhappy with other candidates, including Trump and O Texas Senator Ted Cruz.
The appearance, however, saw the talking head tell the conservative Christian audience to avoid other potentially harmful candidates when he settles on a GOP nominee in 2024.
“You have to be really wary of candidates who care what the New York Times thinks,” he told the crowd to thunderous applause.

As an example he used former South Carolina Governor and UN ambassador Nikki Haley, whom he accused of pandering to the left after the police killing of George Floyd in 2020.
After the incident, Haley, a Republican who has also been listed as a possible 2024 GOP candidate, tweeted that the black man’s death was “personal and painful” for her and that the coming months would prove “personal and painful ” for all.
“Of course, what happened next was personal and painful for everyone,” Carlson said in response. “Our cities were burned. Many people died.’
He continued: “And I thought, why should what happened between a police officer and George Floyd outside a convenience store in Minneapolis be personal and painful for anyone else? What are you talking about;
“Try to please the people whose opinions you really care about at The New York Times.”
The appearance – which also saw Carlson mocking climate change concern and transgender advocates – was particularly significant, however, because of its presence in Iowa – which every four years is the first state to have a say in his choice Republican presidential candidate.
Further fanning the flames surrounding Carlson’s rumored run, the meeting took place at the same forum where Carlson’s friend Trump spoke seven years ago before the tycoon completed his final transition from business personality to US chief executive — a appearance that saw The Apprentice host tell viewers that running mate John McCain was “not a war hero” because he was captured while fighting in Vietnam.
The Fox host has long been considered a possible candidate for the upcoming presidency, should Donald Trump decide against a third run. The former president remains atop the polls as of Sunday, ahead of other conservatives such as Ron DeSantis of Florida and Ted Cruz of Texas. The former president on Sunday was seen signing autographs for fans and chatting with golfers at his club in Bedminster, New Jersey, along with Georgia Rep. Carlson. Green, 48, and 44-year-old son Don Jr. at the event, which has been panned by critics for being funded by the Saudi royal family and allegedly downplaying ties between the Saudis and 9/11.
The former president, however, has agreed to host the tournament, at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster, for an undisclosed sum.
He was seen climbing into the VIP area with Carlson and others as the powerhouse watched the competition from a VIP area at the New Jersey venue.
Earlier Sunday he took to his social media app Truth Social to troll President Joe Biden for being re-diagnosed with COVID-19.
The president tested positive on Saturday after testing negative four days in a row, although he is no longer showing symptoms after being infected earlier this month. His doctor explained that it was a rare but not unheard of symptom of Paxlovid treatment.
But Trump suggested Biden had “dementia” instead of the coronavirus and used it to re-promote one of his election fraud conspiracy theories about 2020 voter turnout in battleground states like Wisconsin.
“Joe Biden’s second bout of Covid, sometimes referred to as the China virus, was unfortunately misdiagnosed by his doctors. Instead, he has dementia, but thankfully is recovering well,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“Joe is considering moving, part-time, to one of those beautiful nursing homes in Wisconsin where almost 100% of the residents miraculously, and for the first time in history, had the strength and energy to vote – even if these votes had been cast illegally.’
He finished it: “Get well soon, Joe!”
