The fire broke out at around 1pm today in Greet Road, Lancing. Six fire engines were called to the scene where the two dogs were rescued from the burning house and reunited with their owner. West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (WSFRS) confirmed there were no casualties. At Greet Road earlier A spokeswoman said: ‘We were called at 1.10pm. to a house fire in Greet Road, Lancing. “Charges from Lancing, Worthing, Shoreham, Brighton and Hove were present. Six breathing apparatus and four high-pressure hose reels were used. “There were no casualties, but two dogs were rescued and reunited with their owner.” Six fire engines attended The WSFRS responded to a fire at a leisure center in Crawley at around 7am today. 14 fire engines rushed to the scene in Copthorne Road. Near Chichester, straw being towed by a tractor caught fire on the A27 at the Portfield roundabout. The road reopened at 2pm. Yesterday, part of Seaford Head Golf Course caught fire and four fire engines were needed from East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service.
