Sign up now for FREE unlimited access to Reuters.com Register WASHINGTON, Aug 3 (Reuters) – More than two-thirds of the U.S. Senate on Wednesday approved the admission of Finland and Sweden to NATO, the biggest expansion of the 30-member alliance since the 1990s, as it deals with the fallout from the invasion of of Russia in Ukraine. As voting resumed, the tally was 74 to 1, easily surpassing the two-thirds majority of 67 votes needed to support ratification of the two countries’ accession documents.
