Firefighters received a call from two children under the age of 15 who were trapped in a burning house on the 4400 block of Beaver Road SW in Loganville at around 4:57 p.m. A 15-year-old boy believed to be at home was later found safe at another location. The girl who died was found in a bedroom without access to the window. It has not been identified. Police say they are now investigating the girl’s death as homicide. An adult and four of the children were at home when the fire broke out. Both dogs survived, but both cats died. According to the Fire Department, the causes of the fire remain under investigation.
