Gatineau, Hull, Papineau, Maniwaki, Shawville and Wakefield hospitals are all affected by the decision, according to the Outaouais Integrated Health and Social Services Center (CISSSO). At a press conference Friday morning, health officials said visits would also be limited to the Hôpital en santé mentale Pierre-Janet, a Gatineau psychiatric hospital. Caregivers can still visit their loved ones, as long as they respect certain health measures, CISSSO said. The new measure aims to protect both the most vulnerable in the area and health care workers, the local health authority wrote in a press release.
