Only one home run for Vlad tonight. It does not seem worth mentioning. We had 11 hits a day and 5 walks, so you would have imagined that we should have scored more than 4 runs. But it was enough. Vlad, Lourdes, Ramel Tapia and Jacques Collins all had two blows each. Everyone else had a hit except Matt Chapman (who walked twice) and Cavan Biggio (who was kicked off the pitch). We achieved a series in four different innings:

First entry: Vlad at home. Second entry: Tapia had a single-out and Santiago Espinal doubled him at home. Tapia box motor. Sixth entry: Lourdes took the lead with a single. After a ghost, Chapman walked away. Kirk, hitting with stings, hit in a double game. Spinal walked. Zack Collin singled out Lourdes for his first RBI as Blue Jay. Seventh entry: George Springer doubled (just above right-hand player Seth Brown, I could do it). After an outing and a deliberate walk with Guerrero, Lourdes doubles right in front of Tony Kemp who dives to the left. He almost made an amazing catch.

And we had a good game. With a starting point, Ross Stripling made 4 excellent innings, allowing 2 hits, with 3 strike-outs. It was very sharp. It would have been nice for him to go 5, but he threw 62 pitches, which was a fair amount, since he had not stretched to be a key player.

Trevor Richards: 1 inning, 1 hit, 1 k. Tim Mayza: Just got 1 out, left 2 hits. Nothing was hit hard, but they managed to avoid the hosts. Adam Siber: He put a bouncer over his head (he deviated from his glove) and entered the field, scoring in series A. He put a quick 7th, taking 3 hits. Cimber took the victory, his 3rd in the season. Hard to Yimi Garcia: 1 inning, 1 k. Jordan Romano: 1 assist, 2 offensive. His fifth rebound of the season.

Jays of the Day: Stripling (0.213 WPA), Vlad (0.103), Lourdes (0.100), Cimber (0.093) and Collins (0.0920). No Jays, although Kirk came close to -089, all with his double play. Collins caught his first full game for Jay and it looked good to me. And he had some good bats. Jayce is now 5-3. Tomorrow Ryu starts for the Jays. Paul Blackburn takes the ball for A. He got 5 shutout appearances in his first game of the season.
