A group of teenagers have been ticketed with more charges for possibly breaking the West Coast Highway Traffic Act. At around 11.30pm on August 1, police found a vehicle in Hughes Brook with three male teenagers sitting in the open windows with their bodies hanging out. The car was pulled over and the 18-year-old driver was ticketed for operating a vehicle without reasonable consideration for other people, with more passengers than seat belts and with a minor passenger who was not properly insured. Two 16-year-old passengers were also ticketed for not wearing their seat belts. The other minor was taken home. Police are continuing to investigate to see if any other charges will be laid.
