According to Allegheny County police, the crash on the Thompson Run Bridge was reported shortly before 11 a.m. Allegheny County Medical Examiner identified the man as David Judy, of West Mifflin. He died on the spot. Police said Judy’s 2016 Toyota 4Runner was traveling at high speed when it hit a curb, crossed the main lane and derailed. Only one vehicle was involved. Judy was alone in the vehicle, police said. Police are awaiting the results of the autopsy. Traffic was stopped on the bridge while the police are conducting an investigation. Crews left the scene around 2 p.m., according to West Mifflin No. 2 Volunteer Fire Co. The fire company announced that the sidewalk will remain closed pending repairs. Brian C.
