Sunday afternoon will be clear and cold with temperatures at 40 degrees. The sunset is at 8:17 p.m. Sunday night is mostly cloudy and cold. The lows overnight will be in the low 30s. The cold air remains in effect from Sunday to Monday. This is the key because our next frontal system arrives. When it happens, it will be cloudy for the start of the morning commute. By mid-morning, these clouds produce snow. It will have sleet, mud and cold the rest of the morning and until the afternoon and evening. Here is a more specific snow schedule for you and your family on Monday: Until 11:00: Cold, cloudy and dry. 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.: Snow is coming from the south. Cities and towns south of I-94 in Lenawee and Monroe counties receive the first flakes. Temperatures will be in the low 30s. 2 p.m. until 3 p.m.: Snow covers Detroit and all of southeastern Michigan from the thumb to the Michigan-Ohio border. Temperatures in the low and mid 30s. one D After 3 p.m.Heavy snowfall in Detroit and across southeastern Michigan for afternoon commuting and dinner time. Temperatures in the mid and upper 30s. At noon and in the afternoon, traffic will be significantly interrupted, as snow will accumulate not only on lawns, but also on highways, roads and sidewalks. The following is an analysis of possible snowfalls by the end of Monday: Lenawee and Monroe counties (our southern zone): Up to one or two inches of snow. Washtenaw and Wayne County (Detroit City and 8 Mile south and along I-94)Two inches of snow will be common with some locations taking three inches in Ann Arbor and Northeast Washtenaw, Northwest Wayne (Plymouth, Redford, Livonia) and closer to 8 Mile Road in Detroit). Livingston County and Oakland and Macomb Counties north of 8 Mile and south of M-59 / Hall Road: Two to three inches of snow. one D North Auckland and North Macob counties to I-69 (southern Lapeer and central and southern St. Clair county): Three inches of snow will be common near M-59 / Hall Road. Four inches of snow is probably closer to I-69. Along the I-69 and the thumb: Three to five inches of snow. For Lapeer County, St. Clair and Sanilac issued a winter warning. On Tuesday it will be less slippery in the morning with remnants of snowflakes. In the afternoon the weather will be mostly cloudy to partly clear and cold. Afternoon temperatures will be around 40 degrees. On Wednesday the weather will be partly clear and mostly cloudy, but not so cold. The highest will be in the low 50s until close to 55. The rain arrives until Wednesday night. Thursday will be warmer and brighter with some sunshine. The highs reach the middle and upper 60s. On Friday the weather will be partly clear and warm with local rain. The highs will be in the low 60s. Saturday and Sunday will be much warmer than average. Partly sunny skies every day with highs in the 70s.
