This article assumes that a lot if indeed is done. I know this. Regardless, I will go there. If Kyler Murray asked to trade and the Cardinals were willing to do so, who would move for him? The most obvious contenders would be the three finalists for Deshaun Watson who did not get the new Browns general: Panthers, Falcons and Saints. This assumes that each of these teams would be okay with a general who is on the very short side, by the standards of the original NFL general. The Eagles are probably interested. At the AFC, the Texans would also explore the possibility. Whoever does it should be willing to pay Murray whatever he wants financially and give the Cardinals what they would demand as compensation. This could be more than what some teams would like to invest in. And that may be the best thing the Cardinals have ever done for them. If no one wants to pay Murray or give the Cardinals what they would like for a transaction, no one will come to the table and Murray will continue to be a Cardinal. At least for now.
