Shaun Murphy – Stephen Maguire

19: 45-23: 00

Murphy 6-7 Maguire

We’re done! Shaun takes a look at a straight long blue and drains it down right! World Championship Maguire utters attacks after leaving a gap for Murphy to pot in the World Cup 26 MINUTES BEFORE What a frame that was. It takes fifteen minutes, and you should too. What a finale we could have here.

Murphy 5-7 Maguire (61-39)

Shaun takes a dip in a long red on the bottom right. It is so close, but it spits and rolls over the green pocket like a hood. Stephen understands this, but he loses his effort in the blue he needs far down right. He is now 31 behind with 27 goals and will need another snooker to equalize. When given the chance, he throws yellow, green and brown and goes for the five-point snooker to win.

Murphy 5-7 Maguire (61-29)

It did not go well for Stephen as Shaun lands a snooker and he hits the coffee trying to twist it, leaving a free ball. Stephen now needs a snooker. Pretty soon, he gets one, he’s squeezed behind the pink when he escapes, and the frame is back! We spend almost half an hour in this context, and my word is tense out there.

Murphy 5-7 Maguire (57-25)

Shaun takes the coffee for a point, followed by the black. However, he is uncomfortable in the final red, which is the ball frame. Shaun rejects it and plays it safe. we are in some battle here.

Murphy 5-7 Maguire (49-25)

It’s a chance for Shaun as Stephen misses a red on the right in the middle and leaves another on the left. Shaun takes three of the remaining reds with colors to extend his lead and pushes the final red safe. Stephen then gets an absolute shock, lands Shaun on a snooker, but accidentally sounds in the pink and leaves a free ball. What an opportunity here for Shaun!

Murphy 5-7 Maguire (27-25)

Stephen gets four as Shaun fails at a glance, with two escape pads on the first try, and then falls under a lone red. There are five left out, and Stephen picks another with a lovely straight container at the bottom left. Screw to the top of the pillow for security though. This is such a nervous framework, the last two were a mess.

Murphy 5-7 Maguire (27-19)

Shaun drains another long red as a shot to zero, but makes a miserable mess running behind the yellow and leaves a red on the bottom left. Stephen drives it perfectly, and he’s in. What an opportunity for her to go in between as she came in tonight – with a three-frame pillow. However, it has already gone wrong, as the push of make-or-break in the package leaves him with nothing and it is the end of the break.

Murphy 5-7 Maguire (26-0)

It is the last frame before space and is pivotal. Stephen breaks, from where Shaun falls gently with a long red bottom right and lands on black. It’s a good opportunity, he continued planting two reds down the left, before throwing not one but two reds as he opens the pack! Steven, who feels karma in the speed dial, has a small laugh in his chair. Shaun is huddled now and enters behind the green.

Murphy 5-7 Maguire

Stephen is now in the colors and needs the baulk varieties for the frame. All the balls are in place now, and it’s as normal as this left frame seemed until now. Stephen clears up to pink for a 57 break, which confirms his two-frame lead.

Murphy 5-6 Maguire (29-25)

Murphy tries to split the package into 28, but it does not work out and he is forced to play safely. Surprisingly, Steven then gets bored three reds in quick succession, and even Shaun sees his funny side. These are four in this context alone! The last two are part of a stuttering break, as Stephen is really down there. There are two reds left out there, both in the open, and if it can be held here, it can sting a critical frame.

Murphy 5-6 Maguire (19-2)

Steven hits red during a mammoth security fight, but he can’t add it. Shaun accidentally puts on a red one when he tries to get it out of his yellow pocket jaws for safety. what a strange start in this context. Stephen then throws another red as a shot to zero, but is shocked when he tries to roll behind the yellow as he leaves a red in the right half. He falls into his chair and laughs skeptically, but it happens. Shaun throws it and now there is a good chance for the first time in the frame.

Murphy 5-6 Maguire

Shaun gets these reds and colors, and 61 in total pegs behind another frame. only one follows.

Murphy 4-6 Maguire (44-25)

Both players lose long reds before Murphy returns with a red bottom left. The table sucks a bit, but Shaun arranges it gradually. He has added 35 so far to this break and four reds remain. if he can get three more with colors he will pull back another frame.

Murphy 4-6 Maguire (9-25)

Stefanos is back! He picks and makes a plant with three balls at the bottom left, a great shot, but only makes five of the chances as he loses a red in the same pocket right after. Another opportunity comes right after but as he throws a red in the right middle to land on the blue. This opportunity seems to stick, until he loses a simple thick red bottom left, and leaves it in the jaws. This is shocking, but then Shaun has one of his own as he makes a fragmented position in the black and his break is limited to nine.

Murphy 4-6 Maguire

There is the first tone of the fight, which Shaun then turns into a great 130 as he empties the table. This is a beginning!

Murphy 3-6 Maguire (71-0)

The break hits 60, and Shaun’s eye looks right here, as he then puts in the black that is the ball frame. He has a lot to do tonight, and he has an aggressive and positive attitude here.

Murphy 3-6 Maguire (31-0)

Shaun thunders in a bright long red to make us start, but the green that follows him runs out of place and is the end of the break. Opt for another long in the same pocket a few shots later, however, and this is a real opportunity. He looks really cramped in here, and a great recovery pot in blue leads him to 27 and continues.

here you go

Rob Walker is braking the players, it’s time to make it a reality. At our other table tonight is the end of the match between Barry Hawkins and Jackson Page, with Page leading 6-3. We will keep you informed.

recap

Stephen Maguire, who is currently ranked 40th in the world, was the nightmare for any of the seeds this year and it turned out to be Shaun Murphy. A six-time winner in qualifying, Stephen has rarely caught fire at the Crucible and has made just two semifinals in 18 hits here. That’s okay, but given the talent, I feel unbearable. Shaun was the winner of 2005 and second in three other cases, including last year, he had a bad season and we saw that form in the first session. Does Stephen have the advantage, can he see it or will he raise his level again in Crucible?

Good afternoon!

Who is for a little longer? This afternoon Ronnie O’Sullivan won a high-quality arm fight with David Gilbert 10-5, while Mark Williams threatened to whitewash Michael White before committing again to 7-2 in the end. For your evening fare, there is no dip in the standard. We will follow Stephen Maguire and Shaun Murphy until the end, with the former leading 6-3 over the latter.

Ronnie O’Sullivan passes to the second round

I dare say that Ronnie will be happy with this performance. All parts of his game looked in good order, he put in some carelessly lost pots and sent one of the most dangerous of the qualifiers that all the first ones wanted to avoid. David could have played better than indicated by 10-5 and had Ronnie under pressure on the points, but when he entered the safety exchanges he was comfortable and that led to Ronnie leaving in this match. The world number one seems to be in good contact and will play the winner of Mark Allen and Scott Donaldson in the second round. At the other table, Mark Williams is now 7-0 ahead of Michael White.

Sullivan 10-5 Gilbert

Ronnie makes 42 and David concedes.

Sullivan 9-5 Gilbert (54-0)

Ronnie’s security says again, as he forces a mistake by David that leaves a glance at a red on the top right. That flies down, and Ronnie is in the blue. There are half a dozen reds in good positions and that’s really embarrassing for David, who may well have played his last shot in the tournament. He is 28 and counts for Ronnie during this break.

Sullivan 9-5 Gilbert (26-0)

In addition to playing, Ronnie had the run today. After a security exchange to open the 15th frame, he throws a plant down the left, but his ability to build is back in the spotlight as he then creates an opportunity from a very difficult table. He picks up the 26, but then misses a dip in the green, leaving nothing.

Sullivan 9-5 Gilbert

Ronnie loses the fourth tone, but the 81 left him a frame from the victory.

Sullivan 8-5 Gilbert (77-0)

The red ball of the frame goes down, followed by the black to sound in half a century for Ronnie. He looked very good this afternoon. It’s a hit on the other table, as Mark Williams is now 6-0 ahead of Michael White.

Sullivan 8-5 Gilbert (50-0)

Ronnie’s safety game bothers David in continuous shooting. the second of two great snookers with a full ball behind the coffee causes him to lose and also leaves a red bottom left, which Ronnie deposits. Very quickly, a chance to win a frame appears and David has a big problem here. Ronnie’s patience and accuracy in the previous security exchange forced it. Ronnie leaned against David until he folded.

O’Sullivan 8-5 Gilbert (22-0)

Right, let’s get back to that. Ronnie needs two, David five. Both players lose a long sighter at the beginning of frame 14, before Ronnie enters with a red bottom left. It is not the easiest table, but a bright blue, which sends white twice to the table, keeps it until the break until the gas runs out at 22.

Shaun Murphy – Stephen Maguire

18: 45-22: 00

Murphy 6-7 Maguire (9-6)

This could be costly. Stephen tries to break the deadlock with a billiard shot, essentially with a four-ball plant to send a red bottom left. It booms and does not fall. Reds go everywhere and there is a load for Shaun. However, his first pot is poor, leaving himself a hard cut in pink to the left in the middle, and he has lost it! This should serve for Stephen, who gets a red color on his own, but then inexplicably leaves the white stuck on the upper left rail without easy color. Both of these players are on the show all the time … and as I type Shaun comes off, and Stephen makes a plant to land in the cafe … which he misses! What absolute chaos. Murphy 6-7 Maguire (8-0)

We came back, and just to keep you informed, there was a similar reduction in the difference in the match between Barry Hawkins and Jackson Page, where the score is 7-6 against the latter. Back at our event, it seems that neither Shaun nor Stephen have yet left the epic before space. Shaun combines eight together, but loses a rule in the complex from afar and lands stuck. Neither player really shows up here, but Shaun managed to concentrate his game at the crucial moment tonight. Black covers a path down the left here and we’re stuck in the security game for now – maybe for a while longer.
