The bad news? It was at the bottom of a lake. Brantford police are searching for the owners of seven vehicles found submerged in Lake Mohawk. Investigators say they suspect the vehicles were stolen, although there is no evidence that they are involved in another crime. Muddy cars range from luxurious and compact to sporty and rugged. The OPP diving team helped them fish from the lake on April 8. “All the vehicles recovered were models from the 1970s and have suffered significant damage as a result of drowning for an extended period of time,” the Bradford Police Department said in a press release. It included photos of two vehicles covered in mud. BPS with the help of the OPP Diving Team located 7 suspected stolen vehicles from Lake Mohawk. The initial investigation found no evidence of any involvement in any other crime. They were all models of the 1970s & have sunk for a long time: pic.twitter.com/gQBKEif5UE – @ BrantfordPolice
The list of vehicles is as follows:

A red AMC pacemaker built between 1975 and 1977. A Ford Cortina coffee shop built between 1972 and 1975. A blue Chevrolet C10 built between 1970 and 1975. A white Plymouth GTX built between 1970 and 1975. A blue Buick Riviera built between 1970 and 1975. A green Plymouth Caravelle from 1978. A white Chrysler Cordoba from 1977.

Police say they treat missing cars as property crimes.
