Also, get ready for more addictive scrolling, as YouTube promises that the new Shorts tab will appear on web and tablets as the feature comes alive. Until now, it could only be used on a smartphone, and even that had its limitations. For example, since there was no support for YouTube Shorts for tablets until now, this meant that folders like the Galaxy Z fold could not access it either. While the Shorts will be implemented on tablets and the web, there is still no clarity on how the implementation will take place. On smartphones, YouTube Shorts appear in a separate section, but it’s hard to say if the same will happen with tablets and the web. From the creators side, another support for YouTube Shorts has been added. YouTube will now allow creators to combine content from larger videos and enable them to choose from a wealth of content already available on the platform. Video clips ranging from one to five seconds, to suitable videos, can be used in Shorts in both video and audio format. “You can create a Short using a song from our library or the original sound from many other short and long videos. “The sampled shorts are attributed back to the source creator’s original video,” the YouTube help page said. “Some videos may not be available based on who has claimed copyright or privacy. For example, videos for which a third party copyright holder and private videos have been claimed cannot be used. “We also allow creators to restrict the use of audio from their long videos to other people’s shorts.”
